Born and raised in Kenora, Eric Melillo is proud to call northwestern Ontario home.
Eric’s passion for public service inspired him to get into politics while studying economics at Lakehead University.
His involvement with local and regional associations, as well as his experience working in his MPP’s local constituency office, gave him first-hand insight into issues facing the Kenora region.
As an associate for a business consulting firm, Eric gained an enhanced understanding of the day-to-day challenges of entrepreneurs, and his role as a researcher for a non-partisan think tank allowed him to explore public policy solutions to benefit Northern Ontarians.
Since being elected in October of 2019, Eric has been honored to serve as the Kenora riding’s voice in Ottawa. He is a strong advocate for his constituents and has been active in standing up for infrastructure projects, First Nation communities, and economic opportunities in the riding.
Outside of politics, Eric is an avid sports fan and enjoys any opportunity to get out on the lake and do some fishing.
