Letter to Constituents, Week of June 21 2021.

Dear Constituents,

As the province re-opens and vaccines are rolled out, Canadians are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. But many are still struggling.

Last week, I spoke in the House of Commons about the struggles faced by small businesses in the Kenora riding. After losing a full season last year, tourism operators and other business owners are facing another COVID summer.

The Liberal government has mismanaged this public health crisis, failed to secure our economy, and ignored the unique needs of northwestern Ontario.

The Conservative Party has a plan to secure Canada’s future by recovering the jobs lost due to COVID-19 and supporting economic opportunity in every sector and region of the country.

Under the Conservatives, Northwestern Ontario will not be forgotten.

The cover-up continues

Conservatives are demanding the Liberals end their cover-up of a possible national security breach.

In 2019, the Winnipeg National Microbiology Laboratory shipped dangerous viruses to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. Two scientists were subsequently fired and are now under investigation by the RCMP, suggesting possible espionage.

The House of Commons has ordered the Liberal government four times to hand over these documents so Parliament can investigate. But the government continues to defy this order.

This is simply appalling. It seems the Liberals will stop at nothing to hide the truth from Canadians.

A Conservative government will end this culture of secrecy and stand up to dictatorships like the Communist Chinese regime.

Congratulations to the students of Lillian Berg

Congratulations to the Grade 7/8 class of Lillian Berg School for receiving the Leonard Skye Building Bridges Award.

Their work raising awareness of Residential Schools, preserving memorial sites, and advocating for clean water is truly inspiring.
